Be okay with who you are
Lately in my life I have realized and been told that apparently for some people I am not an easy person to handle. I am shy until I get to know someone, and like anyone else I have been through toils in my life that make me a person that is not very trusting and a person who keeps to myself until I feel like you are a person who I can trust and feel comfortable with. I was told by a person who is not very fond of me that they will be praying for me, and honestly that rubbed me the wrong way. Instead why don't you pray to God to change your heart towards me. All I am is myself and I am sorry you have a hard time accepting me. No one is perfect and you will not like every person you come across in your life, but it is also not your job to judge and have anger towards them. I feel like it is in Gods hands to judge them and what they do in their lives and not ours to say " hey there is something about you I don't like, so I am going to pray for you". What is that?! Instead have God change your heart not the heart of the person YOU have an issue with. Maybe the person you have an issue with isn't a bad person, you just have an insecurity, or jealousy about them. I wish our world were different and we could all get along, but we are definitely not living in a perfect society. We mainly need to think before we speak and think about our actions.

Character
This quote "hits the nail on the head" for sure!!! "Surround yourself with people who are only going to lift you higher."
No matter what type of people you surround yourself with, it is inevitable to begin to act like them also. If you surround yourself with people who do t have that great I'd values and just like to cause drama, then you will become like that also. It is just human nature. You can tell someone until you are blue in face that you are a huge Christian and a follower of God, but if the people you surround yourself with just go out and get drunk and aren't going any where in their lives then that is only going to bring you down and the people who see you won't think you are anything like what you say. Actions always speak louder than words.
Christians kind of have a bad wrap of supposedly thinking we are better than everyone else. Which isn't true. And I feel like we get this "stigma" because we try to stay distant from people who are going to bring us down and hurt not only the relationships around us but also out relationship with God. It's not that we don't have time or feel like we are above anyone, but we are trying to work on our relationship with God and stay in church and surround ourselves with other church going people and lifestyles.

Teaching Children
With me being a teacher I come across a lot of kids with a lot of different parenting skills. Not everyone "parents" the same, and honestly you shouldn't. Not very child is the same, not every child thinks and plays and walks or talks just alike. Not very child matures the same or goes through learning skills the same. Our world is so diverse and unique. Yet, we all look at other people with their kids and say " I will never raise my child like that" or "oh my gosh! I would never let my child do that" and u admit I have been one of those people at times but honestly no one knows how each family works and interacts. What works for one hold or family may not work for another. As a parent your part is to raise them as a human being and pray for God to have his hand on their life in very aspect of their life and pray they grow up to be a follower of God and act as he should. You could "train" your child night and day to be who you want them to be, but then where is your actual child? You are not teaching them to be who they truly are, you are teaching them how to be a robot. Yes you can guide them and give them tools but ultimately it is THEIR choice to use those tools and what to do with them when and if they choose to use them. Let your child be different and embrace it. Let your child be the person they want to be. Teach them manners and respect of course but don't steer too far of letting them be them.

ADDICTION
I have come across the most amazing website, yes even better than Facebook or Twitter! No affense but those "social networking sites" are getting a little out of control. People post about everything except if they are going #1 or #2 when they use the bathroom, and some people actually might do that too. I wouldnt be surprised!! People dont realize that others actually dont care to know what you are doing at every minute of your life. I know this may be a shocker to some, and know that is hard to believe for some of you, but it is the truth.....Ok, ok, I will get off my soapbox now. Anyways, my new found addiction is PINTEREST. And if you have not ever heard of it or you are not on it, you are definitely missing out and may live under a rock!!! It is so neat!! Basically, if you see a post you like and you want to save it you just "pin" your "interest" to a board you have created. . This site is FULL of so many creative and amazing ideas for any occasion or project you can think of. Instead of having friends to see their social feed, you just follow people and see their pins and likes. It's a great site you should definitely check out!! But you can only have a page if you "request an invite" or someone you know emails you an invite!
Check it out and ENJOY!!!!!!

Be Grateful!!
So, I am back! I guess you could say I took a sabbatical! lol Life has just been choas lately, and I havent had time to sit and take a deep breath and relax, or figure out anything to blog about.....I do have to say PRAISE GOD!! He has been so great to my good friend and her family. She had gotten some news about her 9 month old nephew that somethine was wrong with his heart, yet the doctors did not know if it would be a critical situation, or something that he could simply grow out of, after waiting a week and a trip to Children's hospital, the doctors didnt find anything, and said his little heart was perfect and in working order!! Which is a miracle, because just a week prior he had a deformed heart and of course everything on the interent that you googled about this was all bad and most lead to death. God is so great and amazing and there is no way you could say that God did not have his hand on this child. He healed this wonderful baby and now him and his family can go on living their normal lives. I was so touched by this, not only because a close friend was going through this in front of my eyes, but because when you have faith in the Lord he is so good to us, and he rewards us for the things we do for him. Wake up and be grateful God woke you up today, be grateful for the things he has given you, because if it weren't for him giving up his life for us, we would have nothing.
