Teaching Children

With me being a teacher I come across a lot of kids with a lot of different parenting skills. Not everyone "parents" the same, and honestly you shouldn't. Not very child is the same, not every child thinks and plays and walks or talks just alike. Not very child matures the same or goes through learning skills the same. Our world is so diverse and unique. Yet, we all look at other people with their kids and say " I will never raise my child like that" or "oh my gosh! I would never let my child do that" and u admit I have been one of those people at times but honestly no one knows how each family works and interacts. What works for one hold or family may not work for another. As a parent your part is to raise them as a human being and pray for God to have his hand on their life in very aspect of their life and pray they grow up to be a follower of God and act as he should. You could "train" your child night and day to be who you want them to be, but then where is your actual child? You are not teaching them to be who they truly are, you are teaching them how to be a robot. Yes you can guide them and give them tools but ultimately it is THEIR choice to use those tools and what to do with them when and if they choose to use them. Let your child be different and embrace it. Let your child be the person they want to be. Teach them manners and respect of course but don't steer too far of letting them be them.
